Weaving WCM into SAP

We've said before that since portal packages are often bundled into other major software platforms, they have a way of just "happening" around an enterprise. Thus do "mySAP" portals crop up, especially in Europe, where SAP has a broad footprint. SAP portals tend to be more e-business oriented (rather than publishing focused), but interactive services need good content, too. So CMS vendors are starting to get their products certified through "NetWeaver integration," such that their repositories can push content out through SAP's portal. Certification is important, because SAP never makes things trivial. Both FileNet and Merant have recently announced NetWeaver certification. As always, though, ask your CMS vendor to point you to integrated solutions actually in production...
